The ELK (EmissionsLandKarte) emission inventory provides global emissions for the three transport sectors (land transport, shipping and aviation) and transport-related emissions for the energy sector (oil refineries). It features a detailed resolution of the emissions in different subsectors, transport-specific quantities like non-exhaust emissions, and aviation-specific parameters. The inventory is complemented with uncertainty scores and validated against well-established global inventories.

Short summary
This study analyses the basal sliding and the hydrological drainage of Baltoro Glacier, Pakistan. The surface velocity was characterized by a spring speed-up, summer peak, and autumn speed-up. Snow melt has the largest impact on the spring speed-up, summer velocity peak, and the transition from inefficient to efficient drainage. Drainage from supraglacial lakes contributed to the fall speed-up. Increased summer temperatures will intensify the magnitude of meltwater and thus surface velocities.

Multimodal data fusion is an intuitive strategy to break the limitation of individual data in Earth observation. Here, we present a multimodal data set, named MDAS, consisting of synthetic aperture radar (SAR), multispectral, hyperspectral, digital surface model (DSM), and geographic information system (GIS) data for the city of Augsburg, Germany, along with baseline models for resolution enhancement, spectral unmixing, and land cover classification, three typical remote sensing applications.
